Group mat classes
Group mat classes are maximum of 9 people and are recommended for those without serious injuries and who can commit to a scheduled time each week. They run for each half term period and vary in level from beginner through to intermediate and advanced. Depending on the level, we also teach cardio mat pilates and high intensity power pilates which add a specific fat burning and aerobic element to the pilates classes. The more advanced classes are also taught the Classical Mat repertoire as originally developed by Joseph Pilates.
Private (with Reformer)
Private sessions are particularly useful for students wanting a session tailor-made to their bodies and specific requirements. The private sessions use all the pilates studio equipment including the Reformer, Wunda chair, Cadillac, Pilates arc, Garuda foam roller, Swiss Ball and smaller pieces of equipment. Private sessions are particularly useful for:
Targeted and speedy results;
Athletes: improved performance and reduced risk of injury;
Injury Rehabilitation: aiding recovery and avoiding/minimizing new injury;
Beginners: learning the pilates principles;
Pregnancy: pre- and post-natal.
Essentially a shared private session with two students who use all the studio equipment including the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Pilates Arc. Shared lessons with friends can be motivating and economical whilst still providing individual attention.
